CLAiT CBA Units

The following units are available for assessment via CBA

New CLAiT Level 1 (05538):

• Unit 1 - File Management and e-Document Production
• Unit 2 - Creating Spreadsheets and Graphs
• Unit 3 - Database Manipulation

CLAiT Plus Level 2 (05539):

• Unit 1 - Integrated e-Document Production
• Unit 2 - Manipulating Spreadsheets and Graphs
• Unit 3 - Creating and Using a Database
• Unit 8 - Electronic Communication

Assessment Method

New CLAiT

1. A candidate works the OCR standard assignment using the Centres standard software
2. The Centre produces a candidate information file
3. The Centre compresses the candidate's work together with the candidate information file
4. The Centre dispatches the compressed file to OCR via a secure web site.
5. OCR CBA system assesses the candidates work and returns the result to the Centre within days
6. The Candidate is certificated in the normal way

CLAiT Plus

1. A candidate takes the test following the on-screen instructions
2. The work is automatically assessed and a result given (to the Centre)
3. The Candidate is certificated in the normal way

CLAiT Plus - To use the CBA option a Centre must:

1. Register for CLAIT Plus (05539)
2. Make entries for CLAIT Plus CBA
3. Complete and return the D011 form providing the required information
4. Have access to the Internet
5. Ensure the test delivery system is correctly set up.
